When God visited Solomon, he was blessed with wisdom and wealth of unprecedented magnitude 1Kings 3:5-13. God is present all the time, but this season makes us more aware of that presence for our benefit.
Things To Expect In Divine Visitation
1. Long standing problems are solved cheaply. Hannah was delivered from barrenness of a long time. “21 And the Lord visited Hannah, so that she conceived, and bare three sons and two daughters. And the child Samuel grew before the Lord..” 1 Sam 2:21.
2. Tears are wiped away and frustration gives way to celebration. Luke 7: 12 -16 “12 Now when he (Jesus) came nigh to the gate of the city, behold, there was a dead man carried out, the only son of his mother, and she was a widow: and much people of the city was with her. 13 And when the Lord saw her, he had compassion on her, and said unto her, Weep not. 14 And he came and touched the bier: and they that bare him stood still. And he said, Young man, I say unto thee, Arise. 15 And he that was dead sat up, and began to speak. And he delivered him to his mother. 16 …That God hath visited his people.”
3. When the Lord visits, God’s promises and prophecies are fulfilled. “1And the LORD visited Sarah as he had said, and the LORD did unto Sarah as he had spoken. 2For Sarah conceived, and bare Abraham a son in his old age, at the set time of which God had spoken to him.” Gen 21:1-2.
Prayers: In this month of divine visitation, every prophecy hanging over your life shall be fulfilled. Every promise of God will become reality.
4. When there is divine visitation, deliverance is certain - Exodus 3:16 (God spoke with Moses) “16 Go, and gather the elders of Israel together, and say unto them, The Lord God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, of Isaac, and of Jacob, appeared unto me, saying, I have surely visited you, and seen that which is done to you in Egypt:”; 4 :31 “31 And the people believed: and when they heard that the Lord had visited the children of Israel, and that he had looked upon their affliction, then they bowed their heads and worshipped.”.
5. When there is divine visitation, “a little” is turning to abundance. (Elijah and the Widow at Zarephath) 1 Kings 17:12-16 “12 So she said, “As the Lord your God lives, I do not have bread, only a handful of flour in a bin, and a little oil in a jar; and see, I am gathering a couple of sticks that I may go in and prepare it for myself and my son, that we may eat it, and die.” 13 And Elijah said to her, “Do not fear; go and do as you have said, but make me a small cake from it first, and bring it to me; and afterward make some for yourself and your son. 14 For thus says the Lord God of Israel: ‘The bin of flour shall not be used up, nor shall the jar of oil run dry, until the day the Lord sends rain on the earth.’” 15 So she went away and did according to the word of Elijah; and she and he and her household ate for many days. 16 The bin of flour was not used up, nor did the jar of oil run dry, according to the word of the Lord which He spoke by Elijah.
6. When there is divine visitation, God’s enemies are destroyed- Isaiah 26:14 “14 They are dead, they shall not live; they are deceased, they shall not rise: therefore hast thou visited and destroyed them, and made all their memory to perish.”; 29:6 “6 Thou shalt be visited of the Lord of hosts with thunder, and with earthquake, and great noise, with storm and tempest, and the flame of devouring fire.”
7. Time of divine visitation is the time of great sacrifice. The Passover is the time of sacrifice of the lamb. Sacrifice of time, energy, resources etc is required at this time. After the Passover sacrifice, the children of Israel were delivered from over 400 years of bondage. They came out loaded with wealth and the bible says none of them fell sick either. They were supernaturally healed and kept in health. Psa 105:37, “He brought them forth also with silver and gold: and there was not one feeble person among their tribes.”
Death passed them over. Sickness passed them over. Poverty came to an end.
4. When God visits, abundance is released. Ruth 1:6, “Then she arose with her daughters in law, that she might return from the country of Moab: for she had heard in the country of Moab how that the LORD had visited his people IN GIVING THEM BREAD.” When God visited Solomon, he was blessed with wisdom and wealth of unprecedented magnitude 1 Kings 3:5-13.
Prayer: The Lord will put an end to poverty and disgrace in your life, amen.
