Proverbs 27:21
How do you respond when someone compliments you? As Christians, we’re called to be humble, so knowing what to do when others say good things about us can be confusing. Because pride is always waiting to raise its ugly head, we need to be careful not to let praise puff us up. But this doesn’t mean we have to refuse every accolade in order to show our humility.
May all kings bow down to him and all nations serve him. For he will deliver the needy who cry out, the afflicted who have no one to help. (Psalm 72:11–12, NIV)
We hear a lot about the importance of following Jesus, but what does that look like? Our walk with Him begins at salvation and continues throughout our earthly lifetime and into eternity. But how do we know whether we’re still on the right path or have drifted away?
